GUEST BLOG: ............ Why we love working at The Flint Room
The Flint Room feels unique, there just isn’t anywhere quite like it. OK, so we haven’t travelled the entire world carrying out a survey on wedding venues but we’ve been working full time as wedding photographers for a decade and we simply haven’t come across anywhere quite like the Flint Room.
So, that opening paragraph probably deserves a little explanation really. We’re wedding photographers with all the artsy and romantic ideals attached to the job, but we’re also really practical people who like things to run well and smoothly. The Flint Room is the right blend!
The venue
Starting with the obvious, The Flint Room is a beautiful Church stood on a hill in probably the nicest city in the UK. It looks great and implies not only a real authority but a cuteness that screams ‘WEDDING’ before you even set foot in the door.
The people.
Great venues aren’t really about architecture though; they are all about the people who run them. The folks running the show here are Lesley and Trish, two of the kindest, warmest and funniest folks you’ll ever encounter and both totally down to Earth and determined to make their customers experience absolutely the best imaginable.
All in one solution.
You can have a fairly large ceremony at the Flint Room with up to 100 guests but less obviously (and ideally with smaller numbers, say 10-50 guests)you can then stay and enjoy reception drinks or food too. It’s potentially a one-stop gig and we’ve found so many of our couples want something cute and cosy but with impact!
The inclusivity.
For all sorts of good reasons we’ve found the Flint Room to be the most inclusive feeling wedding venue, everyone is welcome, everyone feels at home.
The decor.
You really have to go look for yourself to get the full impact but the Flint Room has the coolest decor, filled to the rafters with quirky and funny and cute bits and bobs in a style which could never be duplicated. If you want something with unique chic, this is your place!
